Exercise Back Pain Away

Back pain can be a serious problem that is commonly caused by issues, such as injury, sitting too long, overuse of back muscles, muscle strain, and bad posture. Regular exercise can help with stiffness and weakened back muscles and reduce the occurrences and severity of future back pains. It can also help a person to recover faster from an injury, prevent reinjuries in the back, and reduce the chances of disability from back pain. When exercise is done in a controlled, gradual, and progressive way, it can distribute nutrients into the disc space and soften the tissues in the back to keep the discs, muscles, ligaments, and joints healthy.

There are certain exercises that can be done to strengthen back muscles. Strength-training is good at working the upper and lower body muscles. Lifting weights at least 3 times per week is a good way to reduce back pain. Stretching exercises are good at lengthening back muscles, increasing mobility of the joints of the spine, and relieving back pain. Doing cardiovascular and aerobic exercises, such as walking, bike riding, swimming, and jogging, a few times a week for 30 minutes each session are also a good way to strengthen muscles. Having strong abdominal muscles is just as important as having strong back muscles when it comes to supporting the lower back and preventing lower back pain.

Ways to Prevent Memory Loss

Memory loss usually starts at 16 years old and it is a common problem for people by the age of 40. There are things that can be done to prevent it.

Regular exercise can help to prevent the arterial aging that plays a part in memory loss. Exercise uses concentration and coordination, which are two things that require the use of brain neurons and keep them active.

There are some nutrients that fight memory loss. Omega-3 fatty acids help to keep the arteries clear and improve the process of message-sending brain neurotransmitters. They are found in fatty fish, such as salmon and mahimahi. It is recommended to eat 13 ounces of fish each week or take two grams of fish oil supplements, DHA, each day.

Celiac Disease Sweeping Across Italy

Celiac disease is currently on the rise in Italy. People who have the disease can’t digest gluten and the disease causes health problems, such as gastrointestinal distress and malnutrition. The disease is manageable if wheat or any other grain that includes glutens is avoided.

A big problem is that pastas, pizza, and bread are very popular in Italian diets and these products contain gluten. If it is not possible to cut out these kinds of foods, then a person with the disease has to eat as little of it as possible.

Test That Predicts Diabetes Years Before It Happens

A test for three proteins can predict if a woman will develop diabetes years before standard screenings find a problem. The three proteins are signs of inflammation that are linked to insulin resistance. Finding out whether a person will get diabetes early could warn the person and influence them to make lifestyle changes before it’s too late.
